The Killiecrankie battlefield is under threat from a road development which, if it proceeds, will destroy the most important parts of the site.

Clan MacDonald were one of the clans that fought for the Jacobites at Killiecrankie and, although they were on the winning side, lost a lot of men on the day.

The battle of Killiecrankie was the first in the Jacobite uprising and so of huge historical importance.

The following links outline a campaign to try and minimise the damage the road development will have on this historic site and includes a call to action by all who care about Scottish history. There are links to videos and newspaper articles that explain the issue in detail.
